Ray-Parker engagement

Mark and Glenda Ray are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Ray, to Chad Parker, son of Karl and Beverly Parker.

Kayla is a 2007 graduate of Stringer Attendance Center. She pursued her college education at Jones County Junior College and graduated in 2009 with an associate’s degree in General Education. Kayla then received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education at William Carey University in 2012. She also earned a Master’s of Education degree in Elementary Education from William Carey University in 2014. She is currently employed with the Laurel School District, where she has taught at Mason Elementary for seven years. 

Chad is a 2005 graduate of Stringer Attendance Center. He attended Jones County Junior College in 2006. After college, Chad worked in construction before pursuing a career with the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Chad graduated patrol school in 2007. He served as a trooper in Harrison County from 2007 to 2008 and in Jasper County from 2008 until 2012. Since then, Chad has worked in the oilfield doing pipeline construction.  

The wedding will be held in Moss on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at 3:30 in the afternoon, with a reception to follow. The couple plans to reside in Stringer.
