South Central Regional Medical Center will host a free education class for teens who are interested in babysitting. This class is paid for by the South Central Health Care Foundation.

Safe Sitter class is scheduled for June 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at South Central Place.

If your child is ready to stay home alone, watch younger brothers and sisters while you’re away from the house or babysit for younger children, then maybe it’s time for Safe Sitter. Safe Sitter is for boys and girls in grades 6-8 who are ready to learn the skills they need to care for themselves and younger children.

Safe Sitter teaches young teens how to practice important safety skills, how to handle emergencies, and how to treat illnesses and injuries.

For more information or to register, call 601-399-0506 or email kvanderslice@scrmc.com. The course is free, however, registration is required.
