Doris Evelyn Rayborn Holifield, born July 5, 1939 in Laurel, passed away on Nov. 6, 2018.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Memory Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m.  Interment will be at Myrick Cemetery. Officiating will be Brother Jimmy Holder.

Mrs. Holifield was a homemaker and attended Florence Methodist Church. She spent her life dedicated to her family. She married her high school sweetheart, Clifton Jerry Holifield. He was truly the love of her life. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and visiting with her great-grandchildren. She played the piano at Myrick Baptist Church for many years while also serving as the church secretary.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clifton Jerry Holifield; and parents Lonnie and Corine Rayborn.

Survivors include her three children, Darlene Hodge (Dale), Dianne Hammonds (Terry) and Clifton Holifield; seven grandchildren, Chris Holifield (Salethia), C.J. Holifield (Kayla), Preston Hammonds, Chase Hammonds, Mason Hammonds, Robby Hodge and Jerri Hodge (Don Rodrigue); great-grandchildren Tallon, Brooklyn, Jackson, Bentley, Gavan and Levi; brother Lewis Rayborn (Francis); brother-in-law Jack Holifield; and other family Cindy Sasser.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
