Several years ago a dear friend and former pastor taught a sermon series on Random Acts of Kindness. I have tried to follow his example and found it to be so rewarding. However, until Sunday, December 10, I had never been on the receiving end of the acts. I was dining alone at La Fiesta Brava.

At the table next to me was a family, a beautiful child, parents and grandparents. I spoke to the child and waved goodbye as they left the restaurant.

Shortly after their leaving, the hostess came to my table and stated she was asked to tell me my bill was already paid. I was astonished and elated, but knew no one else in the restaurant. When asked by whom, she stated the people at the table beside me.

I hope they are reading this article since I can’t personally thank them. Thank you. Your kindness made my day perfect and my holiday brighter.
