I would like to express my appreciation to the Laurel Police Department officers Clint Hedgepeth and John Windsor for their help to me.

On Saturday night (Aug. 11) around 8 p.m. a call was dispatched from a citizen about dog running loose on 16th Avenue. This was my daughter’s beloved Alaskan husky named Hemi but had been at my house a few months. Once I saw 2 police cars in front of West Quality Foods, I knew this can’t be good.

The officers got me calmed down and we planned on how to get Hemi brought home and proceeded from there. Officer Hedgepeth put Hemi in the trunk and we brought him to my house a half-a-block away. The officers dug Hemi’s grave and buried him for me. This was no easy task to take on, but at 10 p.m. the officers finished to my utmost appreciation.

Thank both of you so very much.
