I am writing this in response to your article “OUR VIEW We thank you, the everyday reader” published November 23. I grew up in Laurel, left for college at seventeen and have now called Corinth home for the past thirty eight years. I receive the Leader Call through the mail three times a week due to the fact that I had my elderly parents mail forwarded to me because of unscrupulous scammers.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoy reading the Leader Call. It is much better, in our opinion, than our local paper The Daily Corinthian. Your headlines grab the reader’s attention and are somewhat (maybe unintentionally) entertaining. Your coverage, this year, of the Greg Burroughs case has been courageous and appropriate considering the way it was initially treated by law enforcement and the district attorney. Without your relentless pursuit of justice the matter would undoubtedly never gone before the grand jury. Your sports coverage and crossword are even better than our local paper.

Thanks for keeping us informed.
